CHO TAB KHEN ZAMUBLING (Alfredo Sfeir-Younis) will lead the meditation. He has issued a call to all spiritual leaders and many have overwhelmingly extended their love and support. In equal measure, his call goes out to citizens of the world to offer the power of your silence in solidarity with those who gather in Santiago de Chile for inner peace and greater cooperation with the earth.

Many of you have written and inquired about Alfredo and his family. We offer a modest update:

Prior to the earthquake in Chile, the Zambuling Institute for Human Transformation at Alfredo’s request was mobilizing an effort to support the people of Haiti. That effort was diverted on February 26, when a series of mega earthquakes struck Chile.

His immediate family all faired well. His ranch home suffered great damage and the homes of his neighbors were destroyed. On that day, life was prioritized in quite a dramatic way. Alfredo was in Costa Rica during the quake and while away put together a truck filled with supplies that accompanied him to his southern Chile home to address the immediate needs of his neighbors left homeless by the quake. This effort continues.

All immediate ZIHT efforts outside of Chile are now on hold.

Slowly, his home is being salvaged. Alfredo holds meditation in his southern Chile home at 7pm, on evenings when he is in his village. He has cooked noontime meals for his neighbors who have suffered great losses and brought in food, water, medicine, construction materials, and clothing to the village. He is working cooperatively with local government officials, healthcare providers, churches, and educators in southern Chile and in Santiago to resolve the problems of the poor and elderly most affected by these recent events.

Thank you for your prayers of solidarity. May they continue.
