Quito

During the meditation in Quito, on October 17 at 6:30 pm, Alfredo and many participants experienced very clear and powerful insights into the new blue light energy that approached planet Earth at that moment.   Most people experienced a subtle ray beaming from the top of the mountain where the Virgin of Quito statue is. The ray came down towards the fountain that was the center piece of the meditation decor.   The sacred ceremony held the space beautifully, and allowed all of these energies to manifest at the event’s site. The meditation took place at the Museum of the City in the old part of town.  A large courtyard included a round fountain that became the center piece of the meditation.  Three trees were magically present inside the courtyard forming a triangular mandala.  Alfredo had had a vision that there would be a triangle forming at the meditation in city Quito and that it would enhance the feminine energy at that specific location.  There was no need to create a triangle as it was already conformed by the presence of the three trees.

While there was a soft rain in the early part of the meditation, it stopped towards the middle and final part.  Alfredo and some volunteers handed beautiful roses and bracelets to each participant as they entered the courtyard.  Most people sat around the courtyard and followed the meditation that lasted about one hour. Around 400 persons attended the simple but meaningful silent ceremony. Three fires were lit to burn some very fragrant incense and herbs grown locally in Ecuador. The fires and the smell of incense were strong and many people commented at the end that they felt that the smell induced them to enter into a deep meditative state.

Alfredo guided the meditation softly and gently and helped bring a deep spiritual experience of the vastness and expansion of the inner selves of the participants. Toward the end of the meditation, the level of vibration (experience) was deepened significantly when the participants were asked to hold their hands and focus on giving and receiving love.  To end the meditation, Alfredo asked that everybody repeat positive sentences on peace.  According to Alfredo and other spiritual leaders, these collective silent meditations, where every individual goes deep within themselves, are a powerful vehicle to nurture a process of collective peace.  If, in addition, positive words are said with that particular state of the mind, the repercussion can be large and positively change the surrounding city, country and world. People embraced each other warmly and fondly and it was difficult to leave the place as most participants felt glued to each other.  Several persons reported that they were touched by the feelings of warmth and peace.  One indigenous leader who participated in the meditation reported that he was amazed by the power of silence, as it brought his mind and soul to similar levels of the ceremonies they perform with Ayahuasca, their sacred plant. An amazing synchronicity also took place, the day after the meditation. The Mayor of Quito, Paco Moncayo, awarded Alfredo with a medal of honor for his contributions to making the city of Quito a better place. He received a statue of the same Virgin of Quito that stood firmly and lovingly during the silent meditation the night before.
